This is a draft. It might be incomplete or have errors.

Sometime ago Microsoft started trying to be funny. Not Balmer’s clownish funny but modern, fancy and loose funny.

I bet that at some point they sat with each other at a really big conference table full of people taking notes on their Vista powered laptops and thought: – Hmmm… We all look like walking suits… People are starting to dig less “gray” stuff, they find Mac fancy, they find Jobs cool and they find SuSe and Mac’s “I’m a PC, …” commercials funny! So… LET’S BE fun-doodly-FUNNY!

So like it seems to have become a tradition at the giant company, they took the idea, spent a BUNCH of money and came up with a piece of crap. This 300 million USD ad campaign presents us two elaborated commercials that make you go “WTF!?” They did something innovative on the commercials nonetheless — they have Seinfeld but nor even he is funny! I read he earned 10 million USD for that, … yes, we’re all in the wrong business…

I trully appreciate nonsense humor, I am a big fan of Brittish humor like the series The Office and Monty Python and I love a Portuguese TV series called “Gato Fedorento” for those who know about it but IMHO one thing is nonesense, abstract humor, another thing is “not even trying”.

With such a funny guy like our ol’pal Balmer that always makes our abs ache during a week due to the laughing, I think they could do much better.

“and now, for something completely different…”
